About your hosts: Slimm Buick: Slimm is a DJ, performer, artist and bicycle builder famous for Rawhide and other wacky Art Bikes, or "Freak Bikes" as they're also called. Buick lives in Oakland, CA with his wife and two little dogs, Hobo and Scrappy (rescue mutts).

His wife, Justine tenZeldam, is a Writer/Journalist, Marketing Maven and Event Planner. They met at The Alley, a piano bar in Oakland, CA, where they were both singing at the time (and still do from time to time). And, yes, she rides art bikes, including the first Suburban Scraper, customized by Slimm, just for her!

They created the Bicycle Art Salon in 2009 to bring together the great minds in cycling, and for simple joy in community. Each month, Slimm prepares his fresh, hot salsa he learned how to make growing up in the Mission.
